The Purpose of the Baño
The baño helps to:
Remove energetic residue from emotional release or trauma
Restore harmony to the field after energetic entanglements or interference
Bless and anchor new intentions
Cleanse the energy body between ceremonial passages
Invite beauty, softness, and grace back into the system
Connect the client to the spirit of the plants, the element of water, and the song of their own soul
In many traditions, this is one of the final steps in a healing — to complete the session with sweetness, sealing, and blessing.
A Prayer with Plants and Water
In offering a herbal wash, I do not work alone. I stand with the plants, with the waters of the Earth, and with the unseen ones who walk with us in every healing moment. I ask permission. I offer thanks. And I invite the client to open to the sacred in a way that is gentle, sensory, and real.
This is not just a wash — it is a baptism into remembrance,

a return to what is truly yours.
Herbal cleanse/wash (Baño Sagrado)
A herbal wash, or baño sagrado, is a sacred cleansing ritual using water infused with the spirits of healing plants. Rooted in traditions from the Amazon and Andes, the baño is a form of plant bathing — a spiritual and energetic cleansing that helps to lift heavy energies, restore clarity, and reconnect the client with their essence.
In this ceremony, water is not simply water. It is a carrier of memory, of medicine, of song. The plants are not simply herbs — they are intelligent allies, offering their fragrance, vibration, and prayer to bless and renew the body and soul.
How I Offer the Herbal Wash
When I prepare a herbal wash, I commune with the plants — often gathered from the garden where I live or wild edges of the land. I choose the herbs intuitively and ceremonially - sometimes bitter plants to clear, sometimes sweet ones to call beauty and softness. The plant used depends on the client.
These plants are then infused in water — sometimes sun-charged, boiled up, moon-blessed, and always prayed over with sacred songs or silence.
During the session, the client is seated. The herbal water is poured over the body - over the crown, the heart, the back, and around the auric field — using my hands, a bundle of plants, or consecrated leaves the plants and I remove stuck energy whilst singing a sacred medicine song.

As I move, I pray. I call upon the spirit of the plants, upon the wisdom of the elements, and upon your own inner light to release what is ready to go and call in what wishes to arrive.
The wash may be part of a larger healing session or it may stand alone, as a gentle rite of renewal.
